What Are These Components Good For?

As the affiliate, you want to make sure you not only position yourself to earn those
high ticket commissions, but you also want to have total control over your traffic
where your leads go directly to you.

And I’m pretty sure they’re not, right? So in this blog, you’re going to learn what these
components are good for in your affiliate marketing business.

Before I get started, I’d like to break down to you what a sales funnel is and how this
process works. Now if this is redundant, skip and read on.

What’s A Sales Funnel?

A sales funnel is the process of converting a prospect into a customer. It’s a multi-step
sales process that converts leads into customers. A sales funnel is basically getting
people to buy your product or service, and it can be broken down into three steps:

The top of the funnel: This is where you have just started marketing your business,
so there are few people who know about what you do yet.

You need to get them interested in what you offer by building trust with them over time
through blogging, social media posts, email campaigns, etc. Once someone has reached
this stage then they will move on to step two…

This now brings us to component #1…

A Capture Page

A capture page is a landing page that you create to capture email addresses and other
information from your potential customers. The purpose of a capture page is to convert
visitors into leads by asking them for their contact information, so you can follow up
with them at a later time.

Here’s the process the potential lead goes through:

  • A headline that appeals to your target audience’s interests or needs (for example,
    “How To Lose Weight Fast”).
  • An explanation of what they’ll get if they subscribe (a free report on how to lose weight
    fast).
  • An opt-in box where people can enter their name and email address in exchange for
    this information.

Now let’s go onto component #2…

Autoresponder

“What’s an autoresponder?” you’re probably thinking. It’s software that automatically
sends out an email to the person who signs up for your email list. It is used by marketers
to build relationships with their customers, and it can also be used to send out marketing
messages.

For example, if someone signs up for your newsletter or book club, they should receive
an automated response letting them know that they have been added to the list (and
asking them if they want any information).

You can also use autoresponders as part of a sales funnel: once people opt-in on one
page, another message could be sent immediately explaining how the process will work
from there on out (e.g., “I’ll be sending you weekly updates”).
