Affiliate Marketing For Beginners
Basics Of Affiliate Marketing For Beginners
The first thing you need to understand about the affiliate marketing
business is you must have the right mindset. This business is not
what you might think it is and if you don’t have the drive and dedication
to run a successful business, you won’t get where you want to be.
With the right guidance and learning specific skills, you won’t
have trouble in this industry. In this post, I will give you a crash
course discussing the basics of affiliate marketing and providing
helpful tips for getting started. So let’s dive in!
What is Affiliate Marketing?
In a nutshell, affiliate marketing is selling a company that you
join products or services and that company pays you a commission.
It sounds simple, but when you do the work, that’s another
challenge.
There are 3 key parties involved:
- The seller. Example: Amazon
- The Affiliate (You)
- The Customers

So now you want to look for what a product people are looking to buy.
The question is, what are people buying? Let’s say you want to sell
weight-loss products. So you do a search on Google and search for
people looking for weight loss products. The best site is set up
a ClickBank account.
From there you can see how many people are buying weight loss products.
You find a product that gets the most gravity (meaning the number of
other affiliates that are selling that particular product) and then you
start promoting that product to potential buyers.
Remember this, you must be specific about who you are targeting in
your niche. If health and wellness is your niche, be specific as to the people
you are targeting in that niche.
Tips To Get Started In
Once you find the company you want to promote that’s right for you that
you are promoting, never and I mean NEVER rely only on driving FREE
traffic to your affiliate links. If your budget allows you to invest in driving
some paid traffic, invest as much as you can.
Someone once said, “Free is sometimes the most expensive option.” Free
takes more time to see the results you want for your business. Especially
if you are promoting a high ticket affiliate marketing program that pays
high commissions.
Relying only on free traffic will take more time than investing in paid
traffic. Take advantage of affiliate marketing paid traffic sources and
learn how they can work for you and your business.
