Sales Funnel Creation In Digital Marketing
Digital Marketing Strategy On Sales Funnel
Remember the last blog post where I mentioned the importance of controlling
traffic? In this article, you will learn what a sales funnel is and how to create
your own funnel for your business.
What Is a Sales Funnel?
Sales Funnel Consists of:
Retail Store
Sales Team
Website
Email
Personal Consultation
Think about a sales funnel like a brick-and-mortar business. So you get people
that walk by the department store. A percentage of them decide to walk into the
store. One of them has their eyes on a collection of hats and then tries some
of them on.
That customer selects their choices in hats then heads over to the checkout.
So all goes well and the person decides to make the purchase. A sales funnel
is basically a step someone takes to become your customer.
The picture below displays what a sales funnel looks like in Digital Marketing:
Creating An Effective Funnel
Josh is an affiliate marketer and he wants to offer a text bot service. He
already knows his target market and knows where to target them which is
Facebook.
He runs a to drive traffic to his capture page telling people if they want
more info to fill in the online form. The lead is now directed to what is
called a bridge page where they watch a video on what the offer is about.
But before this process, the lead goes through a 7-day email follow-up series.
If it all goes well the lead goes to the next step and is now directed to
the sales page ready to buy.
Why build your own sales funnel?
When driving traffic to your offers, you want to analyze people’s behaviors.
You want to see which holes in your funnel people land in. This is a proficient
way to see how well your funnels convert.
If you see the numbers kind of dwindling, you might have to tweak it a little.
As I mentioned in the previous blog post, you want to control your traffic while
building your primary business.
These steps should be taken into consideration when running paid or organic
traffic:
Step 1: Study the behaviors of your target audience. The more you know your audience,
the more effective your funnels become.
Step 2: Create a tripwire that grabs your audience’s attention. If using Facebook
or YouTube, putting out valuable content will grab their attention and they’re
likely to hit that follow or bell notification button.
Step 3: Get good at creating your own capture pages. The page must create a question
mark in the minds of your target audience. Everyone loves something that’s free so
tie something like a report or an ebook. Must also have a strong call to action
that tells them what they need to do. Create a scarcity that makes them fill in their
name and email.
Step 4: Create cultivating email campaigns. Tell your stories in your email content.
Inspire them and speak your truth. Also, teach something you learned in your niche.
Make your emails about your audience. Remember that people are only interested in
themselves. So if your story doesn’t resonate with them, they leave. Try not to bore
them.
Step 5: Stay in contact with leads that convert to buyers. If they’re on social
media, connect with them to see how they are doing with their business.
Final Thought
As a digital marketer, you must understand if you rely on the companies back office
that collects all of your leads and you have no backup system that collects your
leads, that’s trouble for you. Because if the company you promote no longer exists,
your leads are gone.
Whatever company you are promoting, don’t let them dictate how to run your
business when collecting leads. Build your personal brand by using your own
tools that collect leads.
