Why You Suck At Affiliate Marketing

Many moons ago when I joined affiliate marketing I was overjoyed to be part of a program that could earn me hundreds, thousands of dollars.

I felt this was the perfect opportunity to finally get out of debt and sit on the beach earning those high-ticket commissions.

But the reality of building it and me going through trial and error, not seeing any results was frustrating the sh*t out of me.

I was so stuck on the money but not focusing on the education, the skills, and investing capital to have success.

The truth hit me like a ton of bricks. Does this sound familiar to you? Well, keep reading because you’re about to learn some more in this article on what to do and what not to do when so you don’t suck as a marketer.

Your first problem in building affiliate marketing is not having the right mindset.
You probably see what’s in it for you, right? You keep getting in your own way,
not doing what’s necessary to succeed.

You spent all your money and none of the top earners taught you anything.
They left it all up to you to build it on your own telling you “Just Google the
information you seek”.

Yeah, that helps. The first thing you need to do is work on your mindset. That’s
the foundation of everything. Get over those mental blocks and doubts by
working on your mindset. Stop making this business about you and the
shiny objects you want.

You tell your friends; you tell your family “Hey I have this amazing money-making
opportunity that’s going to change our lives forever. This program is phenomenal!
’ll send you the link if you’re interested.” Time to get hit with the truth bomb.

Not everyone is your target market. You need to be specific as to what demographic
you are targeting. Doing this makes you look like a desperate beggar, and nobody
likes a desperate beggar. Especially those people that aren’t your target market.

If you’re selling steaks, you’re not going sell to a vegan or a vegetarian, are you? Of
course not. That person will look at you like you’re out of your f*cking mind.

Anybody who ever told you “It’s simple to make money with affiliate marketing” is a
big fat liar. If you want to be in this business for the long haul, study this business,
learn the skills, and never quit.
