Build Your Brand With Facebook

Before you bore another Facebook friend with another ad, you should consider learning how to build your tribe first. By doing this people will start looking for you instead of you looking for them. The more noise you make, someone’s out there listening.

You’re going to learn the basics of building your business with Facebook the right way. Keep in mind that I’m not an expert. What I’m showing you is from what I experienced by doing the work. There’s no guarantee it will work for you especially if you don’t apply the knowledge.

Create A Facebook Group

Whenever you’re writing an email or even a blog like this, include a link to your Facebook Group. Once you get people in the group remind them to never spam the group. Your group is for educational purposes only, not to send links. Let them know anyone posting a link is banned from your group.

Once you talk to people that interest that you’d want to work with, ask them if would they be interested in joining your Facebook Group.

Avoid The Common Mistakes Most Make On Facebook

  • Being a secret. Don’t be afraid to share information about yourself or your work. Your audience will appreciate it when they know more about who you are, what you’re working on, and how they can get involved in your projects.
  • Spamming people’s walls (or inboxes). Don’t bother people with solicitations for their time or money; respect their boundaries and honor their decisions to share or not share with those around them.

Your Facebook Profile

The photo cover has to grab their attention but you don’t want to add too much that can take away the content you post in your newsfeed. Fill out everything in your profile and leave nothing out. Remember, you’re building your personal brand.

What better way to get them to know who you are by providing all information about you? If I said it once, I’ll say it again…people join people, not companies.

Choose an engaging description for your Facebook Page, which should be filled with information about who you are and what you do. You can also add links to your website or blog here to help drive traffic back to these sites!

When you’re writing a post, always include hashtags. Why? These will help people find you in search engines and on other social media platforms.

Conclusion

Building your personal brand is a great way to grow your community on Facebook. Think about how you want people to find out about you and what makes you stand out from all the rest.

Then use that information when creating your Facebook page, website, and other social media profiles.
