Your Email Marketing Guide To Success

Internet Marketing Tales They Keep From Newbies

Once you get your leads, you do not put ads in your 1st emails. They don’t have a clue who you are. So no pitching in your 1st email. You want to create persuasive storytelling emails and build relationships with your subscribers.

Think about it for a minute…How would you feel if John Doe bombarded you with emails that had headlines like “Make your 1st $10k in 30 days!” or “Hey look! I just made my 1st $30k in a month promoting company XYZ and purchased my 1st BMW. Ask me how I did it”

Would these types of emails get on your fucking nerves? Don’t bombard your audience with another boring ad. Educate and entertain them with your emails. (Edutainment).

In this starter guide, we’ll explore the basics of what you need to be creating in your email content that builds rapport and long-lasting relationships with your audience.

Do You Have An Autoresponder?

Once you get your leads, you will need to drag them into what’s called an email autoresponder. I highly recommend using Aweber. You can sign up for free but you’re only allowed up to 100 subscribers.

What Types Of Emails You Send?

Welcome Email – Introducing yourself to new subscribers. Inform them what they’ll get from you (Email tips & tricks, value or story-based info).

Backstory – Who you are, what you stand for. Tie your story where you want it to resonate with your reader.

Relatable Story – Talk about the struggles. Your audience is looking for something that will help solves their problems.

Motivational – People love to be inspired. Be that person your audience will always want to follow. Especially the people that piss you off. Be that inspiration by creating content that motivates your subscribers.

Have Human-To-Human Conversations

  • You’re dealing with real people dealing with real problems
  • These are people you want to do business with.
  • Talk to them like you do to your friends.
  • Don’t hard sell or they will remove themselves from your list.

Tips On Creating Subject Titles

Persuasion is the tool we use to manipulate. It’s not what you say, it’s what they feel. Your subject titles must create a question mark in the mind of the reader.

Here are some examples of Subject Lines:

Example 1: They laughed when I sat down at the piano. But when I started to play…

Example 2: Sound too good to be true?

Example 3: You asked for it. You got it.

Conclusion

Always continually ask yourself throughout your email copywriting “What is my reader thinking now?” “What are my reader’s pains and struggles?” Remember, people don’t read ads, they read emails.
