Is Email Marketing Absolutely Necessary To Get Sales?

Many I see on forums asking, “Is email marketing absolutely necessary to make sales?”. When I read questions like this I think back to when I started on this journey, struggling to make sales.
The emails I would send to my email list were crap.

Each day was more frustrating than the last because I had no clue what to write about. When you’re not sure what to do or how to do it, you look for experts out there who are successful at it.

So that’s what I did. From their education, they believed using email marketing is absolutely necessary to use email marketing and internet marketers out there are not using it leaving a lot of money on the table.

And you know what? They were right. With their coaching and dedication to showing up for online classes, I was writing better emails, saw an increase in open rates, and started making sales. You’re probably saying to yourself “So, Jason, why is it so important for a newbie like me”. I’ll break it down into 2 words…Traffic control. Most people starting out in the beginning use social media platforms like Facebook, X, and Instagram to generate leads. But are they in control over their traffic using someone else’s platforms? The answer is no. The only you should be doing with social media is building relationships with your contacts.

On the other hand, you have email marketing where you can use an autoresponder to build a know, like, and trust factor. And the best part of it is your list stays with you forever. Now is email marketing traffic you control? The answer is yes. Before you can make sales, you must understand the importance of being in control over your traffic and your list.

Try looking at this as building a long-term opportunity. You’re a marketer. Remember, you will be of service to people who need help with their business. Email marketing and using tools like an autoresponder is necessary if you’re doing this for the long haul.

Having the right online tools in place while mastering the skills and building a huge list gives you the edge. This gives you full control over your list while using social media organic traffic. This gives you the edge you need for your business.
