Writing Winning Emails In Email Marketing
Email Marketing For The Beginner
“Why the Hell aren’t they opening my emails?” I always wondered about riding this email marketing adventure. It made me want to beat my fists against a wall. My headlines sucked so that probably was one of the reasons. So sure, of myself that people would jump at the opportunity to make money online. And I continued this until I was on the brink of giving up.
So, when I’m sure about how to do something, I look for experts who know how to do it and will teach me a few skills. My coaches introduced me to some of the best copywriters in the business and immediately took action after investment.
The education was phenomenal, and I felt it was worth more than what I paid for. I was able to not only get more opens and people clicking the links, but I also made my first online sale from my email list.
The subscriber also upgraded to get more education from the program I was offering. I gave myself a pat on the back. Overjoyed is an understatement.
I couldn’t believe I had written my first winning email. In this article, I’ll take you through some quick steps on how to go from boring and pushy emails to writing winning emails.
Bad Headline You Lost Them
You read those entertainment magazines in supermarkets in the checkout lanes where you see the headline “More details inside on Taylor Swift’s dirty little secret”. You immediately pick up that magazine flipping to that story, wouldn’t you? Well, maybe you won’t.
But the point is we see things we love and that headline triggers an emotional response, it piques our curiosity. When you’re writing your emails to your list, model that same strategy as those magazines.
Stop creating headlines that go “Would you like to earn up to $1k a week with this program I’m involved in?”. Your list will disappear. These tactics will piss anyone off. So cut the shit and learn how to write headlines that trigger an emotional response that creates a question in their mind.
Sell It Or Else Goodbye
Comic books, romance novels, TV shows, and movies all need to have compelling stories. Otherwise, you wouldn’t bother and ask for your money back. Get good at storytelling when creating content. If that first line doesn’t grab their attention, they’ll send your email to the garbage monster. And you don’t want that, right?
Tell your story and if you don’t have stories of your own, you can also write stories about other people. Remember that people read emails, not ads. Especially if they have no interest in buying on that particular day.
Conclusion
If your email list is huge and you’re working to make it your number one cash asset, stop boring your audience with ads they don’t want to read. Bring your audience into your world by telling your story. Remember, “Facts tell, stories sell”.
