Tales Of Two That Struggle As An Entrepreneur

As a digital entrepreneur since 2012, I must say it’s been an amazing journey. I’ve networked with many who have succeeded and many who worked their asses off not getting the results they want just to throw it all away and quit.

I networked with people who had all the answers to everything without making one attempt to live by design. I’m going to share with you the tales of two people named Debbie and Earl. Now these people are fictional characters, but the characteristics of the two are true.

Debbie The Looky Loo

Debbie is an accounting graduate finishing college with a bachelor’s degree that works for a Fortune 500 company. She’s a mother of 3 boys who’s been happily married for over 12 years.

Debbie has been struggling to find a balance between work and raising her kids. Her job is demanding and she puts in 10 to 12 hours a day.

Debbie is one of those people that has all the answers and hates to be wrong. She has the knowledge of any business, yet something tends to hold her back. Debbie lives by a code “If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.” She passes up every opportunity she feels is “not safe”.

So, when she stumbled onto make money online programs that educate newbies on how to grow an online business, she looks at the opportunity and says “I don’t think this is safe.”

She does her due diligence but doesn’t take part in the opportunities. How does Debbie expect her life to change having all that free time with her family stuck in a shitty cubicle if she does nothing to change a life that doesn’t satisfy her soul? Does this behavior remind you of anyone you know?

You Can Learn A lot From Earl, Really

Meet Earl aka “The Go Getter” who took a different career path going from high school to working for the city as a bus driver. He’s been employed by the city for nearly 14 years. He’s been married eight years raising 3 children together.

He works five sometimes six days a week (when needed) for 10 straight hours a day and it’s taking a toll on him and his life. The money is great, more time with the wife and kids is what he desires most.

To top it off, he’s also trying to figure out ways to make money online with affiliate marketing.

He goes after every money-making opportunity that pops up on his social media newsfeed of some desperate money-making guru that sells educational programs that suck all the money out of his wallet that leaves him broke.

He’s fixed on making money and always promises himself “I’ll give this by the end of the month. If nothing happens, I quit!” Sounds familiar?

What Needs To Be The Focus When Building Online Opportunities

The 3 things that hold people like Debbie and Earl back:

– Lack Of Focus
– No Definite Plan For Success
– Fear Of Failure

If you want to succeed as a digital entrepreneur, stop focusing on the damn money! Find the right program that will guide you on the right path to success. Another thing to work on is personal development. If the mind doesn’t change your life won’t either. Feed your mind like it’s your precious baby.

The money is just the result, nothing more. It’s not the ultimate goal here. And if you’re anything like “Looky Loo Debbie”, cut the shit out. Do your research, stop listening to the person you look at in the mirror and take a shot.
