The Missing Pieces In Affiliate Marketing

Many moons ago when I was struggling and frustrated with affiliate marketing, I was in a place of desperation selling the opportunity to everyone. “Hey, check out this new program I joined that pays insane commissions!” Not knowing how pissed off people were with me shoving this program down their throats.

My marketing was horrible and other people saw it. I was hounding everyone like life depended on it. I was misguided due to the missing pieces this affiliate marketing industry faces when newbies are making the same mistakes I once did. And if you’re one of them, I will reveal the missing pieces in this industry and what you need to do to succeed in creating a real freedom business.

First things first, stop making this about you and what’s in it for you. You’re not going to get far in this business thinking this way. You must get clear about who your target is and remember that it’s not about what you want, it’s about what your target market wants. Learn how to be of service to them. Find out what their pain and struggles are. What holds them back? What keeps them up at night. Talk to their pain that resonates with them. This step is the most critical part of your business.

Once it’s clear who you’re targeting, the next step is your social media content.

What you are selling could be the next best to sliced bread. However, it’s probably something that is not the right thing for your audience.

You probably were told, “Just put your links out there on Facebook and go to groups and post your offers there.” Keep in mind, not everyone is your target market.

It’s like selling steak to a vegetarian. Not everyone is looking for affiliate marketing.

Make sure your content matches the market.

If your message doesn’t match your target audience, you lose them. Stop selling your shiny object to everyone just because you feel it’s “The game changer”. Because if you continue to desperately market this way, you will find yourself in the NFL club and I’m not talking about football. I’m talking about the No Friends Left Club.
