Secret To Selling Your Brand
The Secret To Selling Any Product
I remember how tiring and frustrating it was when I started my journey
in the network marketing business. I was devoted to spending lots of
hours creating content no one cared for. And It took me years to figure
out why I got no results in my efforts. The secret to selling wasn’t
as easy as I thought it would be. I almost decided to throw in the towel.
But after all the failures, riding that rollercoaster of emotional stress
I’ve endured on this journey I’m still standing tall. I never gave
up. I started reading motivation books, learning from my mentors and
I noticed a change mainly in myself and business second.
So if you’re making the same mistakes that are getting you nowhere
but living in a state of doubt and uncertainty, this will be the most
critical post you’ll ever read.
Feeling Down Hearing That “No” Word
Let’s take a person like Josh who started a business in selling drills.
Josh’s 1st week in the business was not so lucky selling anything. The
leads he generated were little to none at all. Most people he spoke
flat out said “No”.
This was wearing Josh down. Hearing the word “no” all the time created
resistance and his business activities started slowing down. He would
do very little or no work at all. 1 week later, Josh decided to quit
the business and went back to work more overtime at his post office
job.
If Josh took gave it a little bit more time to learn key fundamentals
like the ones I’m about to share, do you think he still would have
quit? Maybe, but maybe not. When you study other aspects of selling,
the products are the afterthought. In other words, Josh should have been
more interested in teaching how to make holes instead. I’ll explain…
The Hole and Not The Drill?
Think of the (drill) as your business product or service. And making
the (hole) would be the education on how to promote your product or
services. People who are looking for information on drills are not
attracted to someone selling them a drill. They are drawn to someone
educating them on making holes.
And another factor is people love stories. If you want to build that
know, like, and trust factor. Share your story with your target market.
I don’t know what your niche is but the secret to selling your brand
is to give value to the marketplace within your niche. Teach what is
going to help solve your target market’s problems.
People follow educators that are teaching them something they find
valuable that will solve their problems while those that promote
all the time the shiny object, they run away from the seller or
block them on social media. Sell the education over the shiny object
that no one really cares about.
